Job Description
As Administrator (Staff Training & Development), you shall:
- Demonstrate role model behavior.
- Adhere to the Agency’s policies/procedures.
- Promote a learning culture within the Agency.
- Set up and maintain highly organized filing and data/information management systems1.
- Carry out administrative tasks as required.
- Assist in identifying training needs whilst compiling and analyzing training needs surveys.
- Gather and analyze information about courses relevant to Agency staff on all levels.
- Research the market for training opportunities whilst communicating with potential service providers.
- Issue and follow up on quotations.
- Design and disseminate information documents related to training initiatives.
- Coordinate internal and external training courses.
- Obtain feedback on internal and external training courses.
- Collect, compile and present data/reports as required.
- Attend internal/external meetings, whilst keeping minutes – this includes attending external conferences.
- Liaise with the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) on training initiatives.
- Deliver training sessions2 when necessary and as agreed with the Unit Leader (Staff Training & Development).
- Support in managing Student requests for placement/research, whilst monitoring their progress.
- Deliver on-boarding and orientation of new staff members and/or students on placement.
- Be knowledgeable on areas of policy in relation to migration.
- Partake in your own continuous professional development.
- Assist the Unit Leader (Staff Training & Development) as required.
- Support the Unit for Staff Training & Development in the achievement of its goals.
- This job description may vary from time to time according to the exigencies of the Agency.

Suitable candidates for this position should:
- Be proficient in the Maltese and English languages.
- Be adept in the use of a computer, including the Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Have achieved an MQF Level 5 Certificate or higher in a Business or Social Welfare related field, with at least 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar administrative position.
